Each day it takes a devoted team of 20+ volunteer cooks, dishwashers, waiters, supervisors, cleaners, and drivers to make the cafe run smoothly. Put simply, the cafe could not exist without our big friendly team of dedicated, passionate volunteers.

Our volunteers come from all sorts of cultural, religious, and political backgrounds, but we all share a commitment to the cause fighting poverty and building community. There is no single prototype for the ideal volunteer so whoever you are, we want to hear from you.

You’ll never find the café staffed by the same group of volunteers twice - although if you come often, you’ll start to recognise our regular helping hands… Nevertheless, you will always be welcomed by a friendly face and a welcome inside.
